The team at Detlev’s has been rewarded for their hard work at the 2022 NECA Awards.
Detlev’s received the State Finalist Award for the Industrial – Small category for the relocation of control boards at one of Canberra’s iconic institutions, Canberra Milk. Detlev’s was also recognised with the State Highly Commended Award for the Commercial – Small category for the work completed on the lighting upgrade at the Australian War Memorial.
Australian War Memorial project
The Australian War Memorial project involved forward planning to enable works to continue for the ongoing redevelopment project, as well as upgrade lighting to Poppy’s café and the car park.
The project was ongoing for nearly two and a half years, but the team completed the project under budget. It also enabled us to implement higher level safety systems that we have been developing for future projects in a similar space.
Canberra Milk project
The Canberra Milk project went for a shorter period, about three weeks, but this project still came with its challenges. As Canberra Milk had to remain operational, works were restricted to one day per week during weekdays and one day on the weekend.
It was a complex design and construct project, but the Detlev’s team provided outstanding methodology for installation and worked closely with the client, engineers, and architects to ensure the relocation of control panels ran smoothly. The project also came under budget and reinforces our approach to tackling complex projects.
Congrats to our team
Both teams should be extremely proud of their efforts. The dedication and hard work of our people is what makes Detlev’s the leading electrical brand in Canberra. So, we give a massive shoutout to all our employees and the efforts they have been putting in.
